Accessibility
Last updated: April 27, 2026
We aim to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the UPworth website. Accessibility is an ongoing process, if you encounter a barrier, we want to hear about it.
What we've done
- Semantic HTML, with ARIA used only where needed.
- Visible focus rings on every interactive element; the focus style is never removed.
- Color combinations meet 4.5:1 contrast for body text and 3:1 for large text and UI components.
- Skip-to-content link at the top of every page.
- Forms have associated labels, error messages, and live regions.
- Animations respect
prefers-reduced-motion. - Keyboard navigation works throughout, no mouse required.
- Images include descriptive alt text where they convey meaning.
Known limitations
- Embedded third-party widgets (Calendly, Google Maps, Messenger) are not under our direct control. They are hidden behind click-to-load shims so they do not affect users who don't interact with them.
